Really good classical BA Bourbon IS. Dangerously drinkable, I am at brunch and dug the bourbon element. Coffee is there but minor factor. A bit thick mouthfeel.

355 ml can served cold into a pint glass. Brewery purchase. Canned October 23, 2025.
Appearance - Virtually black in the glass. A finger plus of rich tan head and modest staying power. Small tan collar lingers on top.
Smell - Lots and lots of bourbon with coffee coming through as well. Sweet vanilla aroma.
Taste - Fairly sweet up front with lots of bourbon, some milk chocolate and then ending off with some coffee roast. The coffee is less prominent than I'd hoped but still mixes together well. Boozy as at expected for a 12% ABV beer.
Mouthfeel - Full-bodied and smooth a bit chewy. Carbonation is light and dry finish with a hugely drying effect afterwards.
Overall - I like this beer, but I don't love this beer. Others have done BBA Coffee stouts and done them better, and I find that what separated the Origin of Darkness series was to do some truly unique beers. That said very drinkable and certain worth a purchase of limited stock while you can find it.
