From the 650 ml. bottle. Sampled on April 5, 2015. Serving about 50 degrees.
Deep dark brown pour with foamy, silky tan head. Lacing.
Rich aroma of Belgian malts, Belgian sugar, brown sugar, raisins, yeast, and earthy goodness.
The body is medium to full. It has some depth to it that almost feels like it coats the back of my throat.
The taste is rich and malty with a definite earthy bitterness and slight burn even though the alcohol is very well masked. This is one of my favorite styles and they pulled it off wonderfully.
