Green Mountain White Ale

This was poured into a mug. The appearance was the normal hazy bronzed burnt orange/yellow sort of color with a quickly dissipating foamy white head. Lacing seemed to sort itself out to somewhat of a sort of spider web messiness. The aroma starts off with a nice "witbier" spice up front. Definitely "peppery" with that sweet Belgian/yeasty/bready sort of blend to subtly follow through. The taste follows through in the flavor with that "peppery"/spice coming back to beat down the sweet breadiness fairly nice but with a nice Summery sort of sweet bready aftertaste. Quick sweet/peppery sort of finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair amount of sweet/spicy sort of sessionable glossy/sticky "feels" on my tongue. Overall, damn nice witbier by an American brewer.

Poured from the bottle into a large stemmed tulip.
Pours a light amber with some cloudiness and one finger of frothy white head.
Aromas are a nice mix of yeast and white pepper.
Flavors are bit more complex, with malt being prominent along with mellow spice.
Mouthfeel was very nice.
Overall, nice beer. Refreshing, quenching and light.

Very polarizing beer. The aroma and feel we're top notch, but the appearance was bad and the taste was ok. No head retention.
