Brimming with complex malt character and a succulent blend of Citra, Mosaic and Eukanot hops, this Rooster is bigger, darker, badder and out of hand.

Not too bad. Not sure if I would revisit.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a rugged dark brown color with some lighter hues along the sides. A thin sheet of white foamy head sat atop and dissipated finely. Looks like hop chunks are floating throughout. Thin foamy lace.
The aroma had some earthy sweetness with a clean malty backbone flowing with a dried floral hop sensation with a modest bitter grassiness.
The flavor was mostly the malts up front pushing back a lot of the hops. Slight oily sweetness. Then a huge malty aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Fairly sticky but not cloying. Carbonation felt a bit higher than expected for what was I was led to believe is an New England styled DIPA. ABV felt close what was projected.
Overall, hmmmmm, just like Bad Rooster, I don't believe this is a New England styled DIPA. It's an alright beer but not a New England styled one.
