16 ounce can in a teku glass.
Thick golden orange color with a soapy 1-plus F white cap that drops quickly to a film and leaves soapy lacing. Floaters.
Aroma begins with a burst of orange citrus rind. Some caramel malt and candied lemon and orange slices.
Sweet citrus and melon, caramel malt, lemon-lime.
Thick and juicy, almost syrupy. Varied sweetness. Hop bitterness carries a touch of dry finish.
The high abv and sweetness might be holding back its flavors a bit. Not bad, overall, for a sugary DIPA.

Poured from a can dated 1/06/21 (super fresh). Pour golden brown with initial frothy head that fades fast. Despite super freshness, tasted a bit skunked. Smelled great but a bit "off" on the taste for a DIPA

Poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a moderately burnt dark orange color with a quickly dissipating small foamy white head. Nicely meshed sticky lace glossed the sides of the glass.
The aroma had pure sweet honeydew with sugary sweetener like "Sweet N' Low" or something of that nature. Some bready/biscuity malts.
The flavor leaned towards the sweetness of sugared honeydew. Thick aftertaste of sugared honeydew.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, maybe a touch under with a fair sessionability about it. Nice mild carbonation as deemed by the style. Appropriate ABV.
Overall, not so sure about this one, as it doesn't seem to bring the juiciness or even any substantial bitterness of a DIPA or even a New England styled DIPA.
