Serving: On tap in a sampler
Served: 30 December 2015
Appearance: Crystal clear amber color with little to no visible head. I like the color though.
Smell: Similar to the blanc, but I find this one has less of the astringent spoiled dairy notes than the other- notes of sour cherry or tart raspberry are present instead. This is not to say that the beer is fruity, it's the sour characteristic I'm talking about, not the flavor.
Taste: Similar to the nose, again. The tartness in this beer is something much fresher than the in the blanc. Like I said in the nose, I find it more like the natural tartness found in fruits. The beer itself has some nice caramel and wheat bread note in addition to the fruit-like sourness.
Mouthfeel: Medium to medium-light body with medium-high carbonation.
Overall: Much better than the blanc, in my opinion, since I got a fresher tartness out of this one. Quite drinkable, despite being quite sour.
