The Fallen Angel lies in wait for its' next captive. Pushed to the extremes; blacker than the blackest black! Thick, rich, sweet and chocolaty. This is a big stout. Full bodied, full flavored- very complex. The viscous brew clings to the glass as the dark-brown, full head refuses to give in.

Very tasty stout. Maybe not quite an oatmeal stout per se, but still a very tasty stout. Black as night, big time roast and sweeter dark malts. Very big in the mouth, lots of body, always a plus.

a solid base stout, but nowhere near as interesting or exciting as some of the other stouts happening at black sky, including blackberry chocolate stout and chocolate mint stout aged on pistachios, but its a good base beer. dark and dense, with a short and short lived half inch of tan foam. it smells a little off, like maybe it was fermented a bit too warm or something, but the dark roasty bitter barley is there, as is a creaminess of mouthfeel that can only come from the addition of oats to the mash. the taste is good, a little bit generic, just plain, especially in the context of their other stouts, just like something is missing, but its still well made beer, nice and dry too, and mellow enough to drink a lot of. good carbonation and a long chalky finish that shows the grain off well. not my favorite thing going at black sky, but a serviceable example of the style. id like to see it on nitro, that may help it show a little better.
