Made with Galaxy and El Dorado hops. These hops lend a tropical fruit character. Addition of grapefruit peel adds to the bitterness.

this was a lot more like a belgian pale than an ipa for me, with the yeast taking over the hops a little more than i like in the style it claims to be. the esters and intensity of the yeast trumps the oil and even the bitterness of the hops, but i do like the beer on the whole. clean and bright in the mouthfeel, with expressive carbonation and a snappy finish, refreshing despite the intense yeast flavor in this one. the hops are citra-like, fruity and lemon and only a little bitter, but they seem under dosed for an ipa. the malt base is very pale, pils and some wheat i would guess, it doesnt have the body or texture of anything more caramel based than that, and i think that really works in the belgian style. well made beer overall, tasty, but not a recipe i am personally in love with. i still think their pumpkin is their best beer.
