definitely the best brew these guys have done to date. a brett fermented ipa, that lacks real hop intensity, but has a great farmhouse yeastiness to it and a pleasant grassy hop complexion. hazy orange tinted brew, heavy for the style, and maybe not as carbonated as others, certainly not as dry, but it doesnt detract for me. a nose of stinky brett, almost saison like, but holding on to that distinct farmy weirdness. wheat based, but it may be a little more involved than that on the grain bill. hazy and full bodied for the style. the hops dont do much in the nose, more like a pale than an india pale, but i love the way the flavors come together. its almost like the hops come first instead of in the finish, and the brett closes it out, the reverse of the normal, and i like that a lot. the hops are grassy, maybe european in nature, not the high alpha stuff we see so much of, although perhaps its the brett confusing my palate here, but they just dont have that resin, which is fine for me in this brew. not as dry as it could be, and not as well carbonated. as such, the medium body seems a little much, but this is still the best thing in the lineup for this young establishment thus far.
