12 oz. pour on draft at the brewery, unknown brewing/packaging date, poured into a flute-style glass, drank over 30 minutes
A: 2/3 - reddish-mahogany color, low clarity (cannot read or see through), initial frothy eggshell-white head settles into a 1/4 finger glass lacing, moderate alcohol legs
S: 8/12 - mild-to-moderate citrus hop aromas - grapefruit, orange peel and tangelo - with some background pine; moderate simple malt aroma; moderate alcohol
T: 12/20 - on the front of the tongue, there is a moderate hop bitterness and slight astringency; in the middle of the palate, the predominant flavor is certainly a Cascade/Centennial-esque citrus and pine; on the back of the palate, there is a moderate malt sweetness and alcohol; finishes semi-sweet but not cloying
M: 4/5 - moderate body, slick hop coating, moderate carbonation
O: 6/10 - average DIPA from a new brewery, so don't want to be too harsh; need to dial up the flavor/aroma (and dry) hops and dial back the malts to really push the hop intensity; probably wouldn't purchase this again
TOTAL - 33/50
