Im not a big fan of pale finishes but I'm impressed of how smooth it is...really expensive. However the aftertaste is a little weird. Idk i may be a light beer drinker but this is definitely not a family chill gathering "i wanna be buss but the beer has to taste good beer"

Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, light and pale golden color with a moderate white head. SRM of 5-6. (3.75)
Aroma: Mild aromas of pale malts, cracker malts, some yeast with a slightly creamy finish. (3.50)
Flavor: Mild flavors of pale malts, grains, yeast, with a slightly creamy finish. The yeast imparts a faint fruity note. Mostly grainy and crackery. Finish leans slightly sweet. (3.75)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. A mild fruity yeast lingers. (3.75)
Compared to New Glarus Spotted Cow 8/10/22: Pours light. Milder head. Milder aromas. More crackery and grainy. Less fruit yeast.
Overall: A pretty simple cream ale here. Nothing out of the ordinary. Probably leans toward an American lager. Nothing too advanced or abrasive. Still drinks okay. (Rating: 3.69)

On tap at Rapid Creek. Can’t believe I haven’t had this yet. Very smooth easy drinker.

Not impressive looking, a weak yellow and pissy haze. It smells much the same, like corn and a grain barn. The taste follows suit. Good mouthfeel though. This beer tastes overwhelmingly of corn, malt, and urine. Not at all good.

On tap in Clinton, Iowa, where the chalkboard had it erroneously listed as "Downtown Premium."
I wouldn't have ordered this if I knew it was a cream ale, because cream ales are so incredibly difficult to brew. Much to my surprise, the folks from Solon really nailed this one. It's up there with Sun King's fantastic cream ale.
The pour is dark yellow, clear filtered. The aroma and flavor are light but quite pleasant, mild fruity nodes mingling with light, tangy hops. The body is incredibly rich and smooth without overwhelming the delicate flavor profile or otherwise coming across as gimmicky.

a really basic golden ale type here, incredibly light as they go, and well enough made, but to me sort of lacking a soul, or some inspiration or something. i realize every brewery needs to have something like this that everyone can drink a ton of, and they cant all be ambitious, but this one doesnt seem to contribute anything new, again not that they all need to, but thats part of what is exciting to me about being on the road in new places and trying beers from breweries i have never heard of before, which was the case here. clear from the tap with a smallish white head and a few rising up bubbles, looks as delicate and simple as it smells and tastes. a faint golden sweetness here, pale malt and a mild floral honey sort of thing, possibly some corn in here, gone before the finish though, sort of even vacuous later on, but there is a light noble type hop thing at the very end. a pretty clean yeast to this, and fermented mostly dry, thirst quenching and good for guzzling or palate cleansing, but i would like to try some of their more robust offerings next time i am in iowa...

Aroma is pale malts and mild fruit. The flavor is pale malts, fruit/mild berries, slight corn and a husky/grainy mixed with beery bitterness in the finish.
