Poured from 12-ounce can into a stemless wine glass. Clear copper amber in color, with reddish-orange highlights and a sudsy white head that settled to a thin cap. Decent retention, with a little streaky lacing. Malt forward as expected, with notes of caramel, dark bread, and a litte dried fruit. Medium bodied, goes down easy. Finish is dry and quite astringent. This would kick ass with a greasy sausage sandwich. YMMV.

I tried this beer at the brewery as part of an EIGHTEEN BIG D (Mega) sample flight. The beer poured a clear amber with white head that did not leave much lace. The scent had caramel malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base and subtle bitter hop finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a good beer!

Defined as a copper hued, malt-forward amber ale. Met expectations.
