Our collab with Lua Brewing is an Iowan's take on an Italian classic: This beer is clean and refreshing with a crispy finish thanks to the Saphir we tossed in the dry hop. Saluti!

Can from John’s poured into pint glass. Big, pillowy head and clean look. Crisp dry Italian pils.

L: beautiful yellow and perfectly clear.
S: hefty noble hops, incredibly enticing.
T: similar to its smell. Leaves nothing to imagination. Slight malt sweetness that is carried by hops that have been terrifically aged during the lagering process.
F: crisp, clean, head retention is bubbly on the upper lip.
A fine variation on the pilsner. Not enough quality pilsners in the world, this one has a seat at the table.

A beautiful golden straw clear beer. More head would be better. Smell and flavor is a tiny bit grainier than I would say is ideal for a pils. Hopping is accordingly less biting too. But overall it’s not far off at all. A darn tasty and refreshing beer. Would like to see this collab released in a warmer month than December. I may prefer this one over the Singlespeed one-off D’Italia from earlier this year.
