Look: Mildly hazy amber red (think light roast coffee or rooibos tea) with a medium sized creamy white head.
Smell: Very faint roasty coffee notes and fairly malty. Not much booziness or tart/bright notes come through.
Taste: This is probably the best combination of beer and coffee that I've had. I've only had 3 other coffee stouts (this isn't a stout), and I've always been a little disappointed by the lack of real coffee flavor that's excused with dark roast minimum flavor. This has all of the nice coffee qualities of a light roast and still a fairly light and refreshing beer.
Feel: Super creamy-- the fizz fades quickly and has a medium-full body that doesn't stick to your palate.
Overall: Definitely the best coffee beer I've tried, and far superior to the coffee oatmeal stout offered at Big Grove (which isn't bad). One of the best beers at Big Grove too!
