Nearly clear dark copper color, light tan head. Citrus and pine aromas dominate the nose, as well as some caramalt.

The pine and citrus also dominate the taste, and the caramalt is a nice balance. Just a really well-executed “old school” DIPA.

A single pint can I recently purchased from one of my local stores dated 04/14/16 priced at $3.99. Let's pour this in my 13oz. tulip and give it a try.

Look- Pours a cloudy dark gold, almost amber color leaving a small finger of quickly fading foam that settles to a ring and some lacing.

Smell- Caramel malt up front, grapefruit, pine, and a hint of floral. I had to work hard to extrapolate that as it's relatively tame for a triple IPA.

Taste- It's quite floral in nature to begin followed by grapefruit, a touch of pine and a healthy dose of caramel malt in the finish.

Feel- Creamy smooth and pretty easy drinking for 9.6%.

Overall- While not a bad beer, it falls short for me as triple IPA, especially at $4 a can. One of those times I'm glad I purchased a single. The smell and taste is a bit too malty for my palate.

16oz can into shaker pint

Pours a murky apricot preserve color with a light tan head. The foam top is dense and long-lasting leaving a nice lace down the glass. The nose is very sweet, reminding me of fruit over ripened Almost to the point of spoilage. The taste has a huge honey presence with a mild bitterness following. Feel was pillowy and soft for a bigger beer.
