Cloudy darker amber with quickly disappearing head. Smells mostly of coffee, with a little caramel and chocolate. The flavor is caramel and chocolate with coffee, cream soda. Evidently contains lactose, which is unsurprising since it's quite sweet. Medium to light mouthfeel.

Big coffee stout that looks like an APA, the coffee dominates the nose and the taste, but there’s also a cocoa component that is really nice. This will make a really nice sipper in the fall here in Northern Indiana.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 3/22/2017. Bit of a gusher can. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger foamy and fluffy off white head with decent retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Good appearance. Aromas of nutty medium roast coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, toasted brown bread, light herbal/floral/grass, and roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of bready malts, cocoa, coffee, lactose, and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of nutty medium roast coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, toasted brown bread, light herbal/floral/grass, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/grassy/spicy hop and roasted coffee bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of nutty coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, toasted brown bread, herbal, floral, grass, and roast/toasted earthiness earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malts, cocoa, coffee, lactose, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance; and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from hop/roast bitterness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 6.7%. Overall this is a very nice white stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malts, cocoa, coffee, lactose, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. The carbonation was quite elevated, but was not detrimental to overall drinkability. Does a really good job on feeling like a stout, one of the better ones I've had out of very few. A very enjoyable offering.

Got a can of this at the brewery whilst in South bend for my son's hockey tournament. It poured a slightly hazy golden with no head and no lace. The scent had hints of coffee. The was acidic coffee leaning and not overly easy to drink. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's ok.

A pint can I purchased as a single dated 04/13/16. No description on the label other than a white/stout. Let's give it a try.

Look- Pours amber in color leaving a small amount of white foam ringing the glass.

Smell- Bold coffee, some vanilla and dark bread.

Taste- Fresh dark roast coffee, vanilla, a touch of floral/citrus hop flavor in the finish.

Feel- Creamy smooth lactose sugar on the front with a kiss of hop bitterness in back.

Overall- I wasn't sure how to classify the style when adding this beer since there wasn't much on the label. It looks like a pale ale, smells and tastes like coffee. I guess that's where the white/stout comes in to play. Style games aside, it's a pretty flavorful coffee infused pale. I've had a few of them and this may be the best thus far. It's worth a try in my opinion.
