Pours onyx black with a tan head, the wine barrel is notable on the nose, and there’s some char and dark chocolate notes, and maybe a smidge of almond.
The taste is very boozy, and there’s also the char and dark chocolate notes and the wine barrel, but the cherry is MIA, and the almond is muted.
The mouthfeel is not nearly as substantial as you would expect in an 11% RIS. Having said all that, this is still a nice sipper, but it could’ve been more, IMHO.
