750 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 6/30/18.
Pours a thick and oily looking dark brown, opaque, with a half inch head of darker foam and some spotty lacing. Aromas of bourbon, roasted malt, oak, vanilla, chocolate, some figs, some molasses, light coffee. The taste follows along- roasted malt, bourbon, chocolate, molasses, oak, raisins, some coffee, lighter vanilla than the nose. Smooth, a solid, thick body, well carbonated.
This is one fine beer. The Pappy barrels are great, overall great aroma and flavor. Well balanced between the base and the bourbon. Love the mouthfeel, too, so thick. Well worth a purchase and extra effort to get it.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, tan-colored, long-lasting head. Fantastic lacing.
S: A big aroma of bourbon, chocolate, roasted malt, hops, and coffee.
T: Tasted of a good amount of roasted malt (not too much), lots of chocolate (always welcome), light hops (mostly in the finish), a tinge of coffee, and lots of bourbon (and the accompanying barrel). An incredibly powerful and complex stout. Very well-balanced, well-focused, and delicious flavor.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a silky smooth finish. Full-bodied.
O: One of the better stouts I've tried recently. Extremely well made and drinkable.
