16oz can into a pint glass (no tulips available) canned 1/7/21, so 3 months old.
Faintly hazy dark yellow body. Small white head disappears quite quickly, a little lacing early on.
Faintly sweet syrupy aroma.
On tasting, well the abv is apparent, but not 11.0 apparent. Warm, sweet, very faintly bitter at times. A touch of yeast and fruit.
Mouth medium, finish smooth and sweetly boozy, no harshness at all.
Overall, quite enjoyable, goes down a bit quicker than it should. Warm sweet with a touch of bitterness.

This review is from a pint can dated JAN-07-2021, so it's relatively fresh and currently available, but listed as retired in the bottle format. Lickinhole Creek makes some excellent beers and it's even a better value to get them in cans.
It's a bruiser on the ABV side at 11% and it has some alcohol hotness, a tad more than I like in my Tripels, but esters and flavor are darn good otherwise. Look is golden and clear. Taste is sweet but not lingering, so it does have a. bit of "brut" in line with the style. No real foam or head on this pour but the color is pretty. I think in a few months the feel of this would bump up a bit and soften. Really nice, a potent tripel, and heck of a deal by a solid VA brewery--I paid $3.85 for a pint can.

From the large bottle, it pours a clear amber with a modest white head that soon diminishes to a thin layer, but leaves a bit of lacing as you enjoy the beer. In the nose, it is fresh, alcoholic and spicy. In the mouth, it is malty, hoppy and a little tart at the end. Share the enjoyable bottle with friends - at 11% it is strong!
