Yes, a sweet/milk stout, one of my least favorite styles of beer, but this is not cloyingly sweet and it is not barrel ages either m, which eliminates a common problem with this style. Though still sweet the adjuncts make it begin to smell and taste almost like a Russian imperial stout. The aroma is more roasted malt and coffee than sweet. There is a flash of roasted bitterness about half way through just before the finish turns sweet. I get hints of Cinnamon as well. The 10% ABV is well hidden.

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my snifter. Beer is courtesy of my brother, thanks @bpsully!
Beer pours a black coffee color with a creamy tan head of 1 cm. There is no light passing through my glass. The foams fades to a sturdy edge layer and one large island in the center soon after the beer sits, but this foam never completely disappears.
The aroma on this beer is roasted malt and dark bakers chocolate mixed with a little bit of sweet sugar note, but the roast steals the show here. Not any preview of the 10% abv here either or any sort of hop notes.
The first sip reveals a fairly thick and very soft and smooth textured body. The carbonation is mild and gentle as well. Very pleasant physical traits and only the thicker body is preventing me from drinking this way too fast.
The flavor is similar to nose with some roasted malt but here more sweetness comes through too. I get dark chocolate, but also sweeter milk chocolate and definitely a milk sugar sweetness and some cocoa powder notes. I still get back to some dark bitter chocolate on the finish and this lingers after the swallow. There is a bit of a sweet sticky coating on my lips after each sip.
I dont get any hop presence, and the ABV is completely masked, making for a bit of a dangerous beer.
I expected this to be much sweeter than it is and honestly, I like it more than I thought I would due to this fact.
Another solid stout from a brewery that I am starting to take notice of and will now know to shop for or ask about in the future.

Poured moderately hard from a tall can into a tall goblet, forming a finger of light brown head that slowly faded to a ring of lacing. Dark brown body. Smell is milk stout, but does have a bit of an Oreo-scent to it. Taste is definitely a milk stout background, but the cookies & cream flavor does actually come through pretty well. A bit of sweetness, but by no means a "dessert stout". Medium bodied, a hint of oiliness, and a moderate bite of carbonation. Tastes pretty much like the name, which is fine for me, but its not a favorite flavor so this beer didn't knock it out for me.
