Smooth as a newly paved road, the Pavers Porter brings together roasted and chocolate malt flavors with a mild bitterness to balance everything out. It may have a simple name, but this is a complex beer with a silky finish and lots of character.

an outstanding example of the american porter, on the darker side of the spectrum, deeply roasty and intense on the dark malt, and with a lot of bitterness from it, combined with the hops, an intense but enjoyable experience. there is an eggshell luster to the pure black brew, and a full inch of bubbly tan head, nice retention and incremental ring lacing. a hint of smoke to the nose, a lot of char, a little bit of acrid bitterness from the dark grain, and then a nice piney hop, almost a black ipa in the nose. a little more tame in taste, not so pungently hoppy, but still plenty bitter. notes of strong cold brew coffee and slightly sweet raisin in the middle give it some cool depth, and a smooth fuller body is just right for the robust flavors. a slight hint of cola is there in the end, odd but cool. carbonation is average but i dont wish for more, i like the slower speed of this one. all in our group agreed this was the best of the every day beers on tap here at cinder block. a standout for sure in the style. best when fresh!

Good local porter. Taste like a nice glass of iced coffee mixed with craft beer. Tried it for the first time at UP DOWN KC. One of my favorites.
