Bottle: Poured a deep clear burgundy color ale with a nice brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing notes. Aroma of caramelized malt with light toffee notes is enjoyable. Taste is a nice mix of caramelized malt notes with some light notes of toffee with some residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Doesn’t necessarily stand out from the crowd of scotch ale but well-made nonetheless.

Pours a very light tan head, very thin ring of retention.
Caramel and alcohol in the aroma and flavour, restrained bitterness allows light residual sweetness to come through. Flavour seems filtered and muted though.
Body is thin for the style.
