Hazy , golden color. Big, white head. Mango, pineapple, herbs, and malt in aroma. Fruity, balanced taste with strong but for from sharp bitterness. Malty background. Easy to drink.

Drank on tap at Lulu’s Allston, Allston, MA
Served in a tulip
Outstanding appearance. The slightly hazy, straw yellow body was capped by a super tight and frothy, inch-tall cap of bright white foam. The head slowly dipped to bubbly cap. A wall of patchy lacing coated the glass and lasted until the drink’s end.
The aroma was hoppy but much more subtle than I anticipated. Orange notes came through strongest. Bit of peach as well. Touch of sweetness. Even as the beer warmed, the nose stayed pretty subdued.
The flavor profile was quite hoppy and sweet. Like the aroma, orange notes dominated. Candied orange peel specifically. Some tropical fruits were also detectable. Mango perhaps. Bit of peach as well. The beer finished fairly clean with absolutely no pith or bitterness.
Super soft and frothy mouthfeel. Supple on the palate. The liquid contained an ultra fine, subtle effervescence.
Double Dry Hopped Afterimage is a solid citrus-forward double IPA that falls somewhere between a New England and a West Coast take on the style. Given the hype surrounding Grimm’s hoppy beers however, I was hoping for something a bit more punchy and complex.

It's Grimm. It's a DIPA. It's amazing.
