Very tasty ipa a from grimm. Nice beer, though nothing earth shattering.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high white head that has good retention properties and consistently left a short head and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of white grapes are present in the nose along with hints of tangerine and passion fruit.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of white grapes and passionfruit. Little to no bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA does a good job at hiding any traces of alcohol from the taste.

On tap at Grimm in Brooklyn.

Pours a hazy orange with soft, soapy foam.

Smell is juicy and a bit sweet with notes of apricot marmalade, mango and peach candy.

Taste keeps the notes from the nose and augments them with some grassiness, a soft bitterness and some booze.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft and well carbonated.

Overall, a very nice DIPA, deceptively easy to drink.

Poured into a stemmed tulip at Beltway Brewing (contract brewer for Grimm).

An nice double india pale ale, but unremarkable in this day and time. I can say that this DIPA was surprisingly light for its 8% ABV.

16oz. can into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.

Lots of floaties in this one. I don't care that the can says I should roll it. IPA should not look like this. Nose is pine, fresh cut grass, citrus and evergreens. Delicious! Beer opens dank hop bitterness. Bits of grass, pine, a touch of fresh hop bitterness, grapefruit and citrus. Excellent. Middle is more of the same with a mellow malt balance. Finishes clean with little to no aftertaste save for a light bitterness. Body is light to medium with moderate to low carbonation. Super drinkable. Smooth on the palate and goes down crisp and clean.

A welcome reprieve from the onslaught of North East breweries making NE IPAs. This has a bit of old school West Coast in it and I love that about this beer. Definitely worth trying.

On tap, pours a moderately hazy gold. A couple fingers of foam. Spotty lacing.

Smell has tart citrus, floral notes and a touch of earthy herbs. Taste follows. Nice little hit of bitterness. Drinks easy, way below 8%. Good stuff.

Pours a bright orange with a lasting creamy white head, tons of lacing and small bubbles. There is hop particulate, but I do not mind that terribly.

Aroma of grapefruit, general citrus, a little peppery, pine. Not a nose-smashing aroma, rather delicate, but with plenty of nuance. Give this one time to warm and the aroma begins to truly shine.

Flavor follows the aroma. Pine, peppery, and citrus pith are the main notes. Warmth brings a nice tangerine quality as well, and something that teases me as lemongrass. Warmth brings grape skin, and a nice bitterness.

Mouthfeel is medium, nicely carbonated, a bit of a zip on the tongue. All the while, it manages to feel full, velvety.

A very refined DIPA. This doesn't fall into the NEIPA style dominating NYC in the best of ways, presenting a finely layered beer with a variety of aromas and flavors from the hops. The delicateness encourages one to savor the beer, to take time with it and discover its potential. I very much appreciate this -- it is a perfect beer to sit down and read a book with, or enjoy an afternoon in quiet contemplation.

Pours has burnt orange color. Citrus hops, Grapefruit, fruity malts and light resin; jollier taste than nose. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

A very nice easy drinking IPA.

This one pours a slightly hazy dark orange, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like grapefruit, lime. slight pepper, and lots pine.

This a pretty inspired hop combination here. There's a great bitterness here- it keeps the beer from being a complete juice bomb. There's some lime and some other exotic fruit flavor I can't put my finger on. There's definitely grapefruit, and a hint of orange too.

This is crisp and clean, and surprisingly light bodied, with a good level of carbonation.

This is one of the better Grimm cans in a while- due to how unique and tasty it is.
