Appearance - Pours bright murky orange with a big soapy white head great retention. Spotty lacing all around the glass.

Aroma - Mild tropical fruit mango, orange, citrus peel, alcohol comes through just a bit. Light grassy hops.

Taste - Taste is strong mango and big ripe orange, really bitter citrus peel on the finish balances out the sweetness up front. the grassy hops are really noticeable as well.

Feel - Medium bodied, soft carbonation nice slightly dry finish.

Overall - Really well done DIPA, great flavors smooth easy drinking

Can from City Swiggers on the UES. Pours a hazy farm egg yolk golden orange with a fluffy white head and good lacing, smells like musty peach flesh and tangerine juice, taste is melon flavored cotton candy, hints of tangerine, finishes with a mild pithy bitterness, this beer is full bodied and creamy. Haven’t had much Grimm in a while but this is yet another great candy IPA.

Pours a milky orange color with a fairly rapidly dissipating one inch white head that left ample blotches of lacing. Smells of dankness and citrus. Tastes of grapefruit, grapefruit pith, dank and under ripe tropical fruit. Medium bodied and carbonated, very bitter with a dry lingering bitter finish.

Another terrific hoppy beer from Grimm, although slightly short of their very best in my opinion. While this has the cloudy look per the beer name and pillowy feel (albeit with enough carbonation to give it some life on the tongue), the flavor is fairly bitter and dank - weedy with grapefruit notes, pithy, and just slightly juicy and sweet. Typical for Grimm it’s well considered and well balanced and has a good deal of elegance in execution. A modern double ipa, despite the cloudy look and moniker, not really a “new England” style, and that’s all to the good.

As I work my way through the glass wow! Lots of grapefruit and lots of skunky weed notes emerging. Way more prominent as the beer comes up in temperature a bit.

poured into a tulip glass via draft @ Cityline Tavern (Albany, NY)

color is hazy orange, cloudy

smell is grapefruit and melon

taste is bitter grapefruit and slight sweetness from the malt

this is a bit more mellow than most Grimm IPA's I've had, but very well-balanced which makes up for the lack of pop
very drinkable at 8%

Bought this a couple weeks ago and didn’t like it nearly as much as I do now. It’s a classic Grimm DIPA with strong tropical fruit flavor with a soft mouthfeel.

Look: orange juice like with a large head that disappates quickly
Smell: boozy smell mixed with mango and candies fruits
Taste: mango, star fruit, very sweet but balanced somehow
Feel: So so smooth and creamy with the booze well hidden, cheers!

16oz. can into Night Shift stemware.

Not only crazy cloudy, but deathly pale too. Nose is citrus, pineapple and cane sugar. Sweet, fruity, juicy. Beer opens citrus, pineapple and cane sugar. Notes of mango, candied fruit and starfruit throughout. There's almost a funky hop presence that manifests as a lightly bitter foaminess. Kind of weird. A little powdery at the finish with more pineapple and citrus sweetness. Pretty one-dimensional and exceptionally sweet, even for the NE IPA style. Body is light to medium with moderate to low carbonation. Smooth and dry on the palate and goes down foamy, soft with a sticky, bone dry finish.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of this beer. It's a little one dimensional and there's a powderiness that doesn't work with the rest of the flavors.
