Loved Grimm when they first started up and before the brewery opened up, as they were hard to find and well worth the effort to obtain. I bought a few of their bottled offerings once they had their physical location near Interboro but once the recent explosion in breweries happened, I didn't have them as much. Thankfully, this was available on Tavour late last year when I was on the road and indeed, this was worth the effort to obtain as it took me back to the days where these guys were the bomb!
Such a murky and mysterious look to this as it was a dark apricot with a bit of light seeping in around the edges. Plenty of suds topped this off as the lacing left behind was quite deep and extensive - even if there weren't any readily discernible rings amongst the suds. Lots of apricot, peach, white chocolate, marmalade, and dank hops in the nose as the taste burst forth with a ton of stone fruit, sticky sweetness, orange preserve, deep dank dewy forest, and heavy pine. So much going on here as this was a hoppy, thick, morass of a beer that somehow worked and needed a ton of time to savor as it was weighted, moderately cloying, and turbid enough to be overripe - down to the melon and cantaloupe that stuck around on my palate once I finished this off.
This was a beast in every aspect - taste, feel, and heft as every bit of it's listed 10% ABV was present here. In taste, feel, and aftertaste, it was here as the carbonation was light enough to let that linger with the end result being a brew that easily kept me warm on this early spring night that was cooler than normal. Couldn't read the date on the bottom of the can and yes, there was a good amount of dark sediment as the big chunks had to be swirled out. Regardless of that, this took me back to the days where Grimm was underground in New York and worth the effort to seek out. This was on par with Lambo Door and their better offerings as it was one of the better Imperial IPA's that I've come across. Just make sure that you have the time to properly enjoy this!

Look: Pours a hazy, deep golden yellow with a two finger, soapy white head of satin white foam. Great head retention and lacing.
Aroma: Spicy apricot skins / peaches and cream. Very light bitter lemon note.
Taste: Fruity upfront. Peach preserves and pineapple puree. Bitter, warming sensation of pine resin and grapefruit + lemon skins. Goes sweet on the finish with notes of coconut cream, orange marmalade and honey. Maybe even a little bit of lemon meringue pie.
Feel: Full bodied, very heavy with slightly above average carbonation. Soft and fluffy.
Overall: Really exceptional stuff. My can is dated 10/11/21 (a little over four months ago as per the time of writing this review) but being a triple IPA the flavors held up exceptionally well here and maybe even developed a little bit of extra complexity over time.

Served in a Teku glass from the can.
Appearance: completely opaque light gold color coming off with a white head rising have a fingers length off the glass.
Smell: deep floral aroma which smells like pine trees and spruce mixed with a dose of grapefruit juice you know the yellow kind.
Taste: very complex coming off a bitter yet lightly lightly sweet citrus feel which sticks to your palate but it's not quite bitter as you think. Malty as it gets though.
Mouth: sticky body with a soft carbonation and they're very deep complex red feel messed with lemon skin to the finish.
Overall: Worth the grab if you like IIPAs, mellow lemon skin undertone mixed with grapefruit. Salud!

A - Opaque pale medium orange color with thin soapy white lacing.
S - Grapefruit, citrus, spicy citrus rind, pineapple, spicy peach, and overall fruity and earthy.
T - Grapefruit, peppery grapefruit rind, spicy peach, pineapple, and spicy pineapple rind.
M - Thick and full bodied with light pricklies on the tongue and leaves a thick coating in the mouth that feels like a layer of cottony fabric. Dry on the palate and some alcohol effervesence with some warming.
O - The ABV is actually pretty well hidden in this beer.

Great brew - Dank and piney but also super Juicy. Boozy but dangerously crushable. Kind of a clear coloring / light yellow color. nice light foam head to the brew. Drinks like champagne beer.

A: Opaque yellow-gold in color, not turbid but absolutely no light coming through. Nice dense white fluffy head on top. Good lacing.
S: Not getting tooo much but I do get faint melon or pineapple.
T: Very impressive how that 10% alcohol is completely hidden. Ripe pineapple, melon, lemon, hay, peach, and honey.
M/F: Surprisingly lighter than expected. Drinks like a 7 or 8 percenter. Very smooth. Finishes with ripe fruits and hops.
O: Great beer! The most impressive part, to me, was how well-hidden the alcohol was -- very very smooth drinking. This is better than Afterimage in my opinion, which is the only other Grimm beer I've had. Yet this one is rated lower.. weird. Anyway, this is a wonderful beer and worth the buy. It doesn't trump some other triple NE IPAs off the top of my head, but it does stand out in the crowd.

Another really good DIPA from these guys. Tons of bright tropical fruits, mango, peach, very hoppy but easy to drink and not bitter at all. Highly recommended.
