Upstairs/Downstairs pours a hazy golden, pillowy white head. Lots of papaya on the nose. Characterized by pineapple, dankness, eucalyptus, and menthol. A pretty good double.

L: drinking from the can. Nice looker
S: pretty muted. Bit of pine.
T: hoping for some classic hop flavors and not getting much. Tangy bitterness.
F: smooth.
O: hoping for more given the significant price point. Not working for this guy

Vibrant, orangey yellow pour with a sudsy head. More translucent than opaque.
Not a strong nose but I pick up pineapple, apple juice, white grape, and pine.
Bright tart taste. Tropical fruit and lemon. Stays pleasantly tart through the finish. No alcohol flavor.
Feel is nice and light and viscous. Great carbonation.
Good beer overall. Doesn't have the complexity or subtlety of a really great NEIPA but it is bright and tasty. Good for the first warmer day this winter.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thin ring of bubbles around the edge and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of pear and pineapple are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of pear with notes of mango. Little to no bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer tastes nothing like and Imperial IPA and goes down very easy.
Serving type: can

This is my first beer post Dry January 2022 (and it was canned one day ago). Read that disclaimer how you will.
A: hazy golden color, some yellow and reddish hues in there as well. Nice head, with medium thick lacing that stays around on the glass.
S: a ton of fruity hops, sunny delight, gummy bears, papaya, honey due, and then crackers, bread, peach jam on bread with some grassiness.
T: Very juicy and fruity at the beginning - apricots, strawberry jam - and then floral, clean yet resiny.
F: Medium to light body, lighter than you'd expect for a hazy double ipa. A little stays in the mouth but mostly clean feeling.
O: Grimm doesn't make beer I don't like. This fits right into what I think they do so well - I hope they keep it in the rotation.

On tap at Grimm in Brooklyn.
Pours a hazy light orange with soft, fine head.
Smell is dank with notes of peaches and peach candy. Hints of oranges and lime.
Taste is juicy with the same peachy notes from the nose joined by some pineapple, citrus, freshly cut grass and a soft bitterness.
Mothfeel is medium, soft and pillowy with good carbonation.
Overall, another very good, dangerously drinkable DIPA from Grimm.

A: Poured from the growler into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is hazy golden-yellow with a small white head that settles quickly to leave good lacing.
S: Modestly dank grapefruit and sweeter tropical fruit (mango, papaya).
T: Orange-grapefruit juice with a bit of pineapple and sweeter tropical fruit (papaya comes to mind). Touch of lighter fruit - pears, maybe). Predominantly citrusy, however, with plenty of orange. Finishes with a decent bitterness (think grapefruit pith and lemon peel) that offsets the sweetness, and the 8% ABV is not evident at all. Liking this more as I work my way down the glass.
M: Creamy, juicy in feel.
O: Good stuff. Paid a little more for this ($20 or $22 for the growler), but happy with it. The only problem is that I'm pretty sure no one else will be drinking this tonight (guests arrived hauling Corona and Mich Ultra), so given that I'm liking this, I predict I will be good and drunk as the growler empties. . . .
