On tap at Grimm in Brooklyn.

Pours a hazy light orange with soft, fine head.

Smell is dank with notes of peaches and peach candy. Hints of oranges and lime.

Taste is juicy with the same peachy notes from the nose joined by some pineapple, citrus, freshly cut grass and a soft bitterness.

Mothfeel is mediu, soft and pillowy with good carbonation.

Overall, another very good, dangerously drinkable DIPA from Grimm.

A: Poured from the growler into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is hazy golden-yellow with a small white head that settles quickly to leave good lacing.

S: Modestly dank grapefruit and sweeter tropical fruit (mango, papaya).

T: Orange-grapefruit juice with a bit of pineapple and sweeter tropical fruit (papaya comes to mind). Touch of lighter fruit - pears, maybe). Predominantly citrusy, however, with plenty of orange. Finishes with a decent bitterness (think grapefruit pith and lemon peel) that offsets the sweetness, and the 8% ABV is not evident at all. Liking this more as I work my way down the glass.

M: Creamy, juicy in feel.

O: Good stuff. Paid a little more for this ($20 or $22 for the growler), but happy with it. The only problem is that I'm pretty sure no one else will be drinking this tonight (guests arrived hauling Corona and Mich Ultra), so given that I'm liking this, I predict I will be good and drunk as the growler empties. . . .

Sunny D orange with the same opacity. Egg shell white froth rests above with curtains of lace concaving into a thinned out coverage over the pool below.

Smells like orange juice, but not acidic. Sweet in fact along with a tropical smoothie blend and a pinch of grapefruit zest.

Following the trend, a smooth and even blend of ripened mango, guava, and melon converge with grapefruit and lime peel. Finishes off like a Manhatten with an orange bitters bite.

Smooth and fuller feeling, but clean. A mellow juicy and sweet start slowly leads into a lovely bittered end. No indication of the elevated and except for the slightest bit of warming.

This here is an easy drinking 8.0%-er. Great flavors and balance with a cocktail-like approach. Like a glass of summer to warm me up this sunny yet chill fall afternoon.

Thanks again Jay! Cheers.

I find this beer to be mesmerizing.

Like Elizabeth Taylor on her wedding day (you can pick which suitor) this one is quality. Light, yet pungent juice that gets you lifted like Kermit drinking a 40. I am born again before I die.

Fruity flavors are prominent in the palette. Papaya, pineapple and various citrus flavors burst through as you exhale after taking a sip. Has a nice dry aftertaste which adds a perfect finish.

16oz. can into Night Shift stemware.

Hazy, hazy, hazy. Nose is pineapple, cane sugar, citrus and mango. Solid. Beer opens with an exceedingly sweet punch. Honey, overripe pineapple and other citrus fruit, juicy starfruit and cantaloupe. More of the same in the middle except the fruit seems to have been candied. Huge malt presence. This is almost too sweet. A touch of booze fades in and out. Its notable but doesn't ever take over. Solid if one dimensional. Body is medium with moderate carbonation. Smooth and a bit heavy on the palate with a light, aggressive finish. Bone dry aftertaste. The dryness is real nice.

A nice, drinkable, straightforward beer. Representative of the NE IPA style but doesn't really stand out from the crowd.
