Maximum Delight is a dual-hop DIPA featuring Citra and Idaho 7 is exceptionally aromatic, clean, and juicy. Hopped at 8 lbs/bbl, Maximum Delight delivers all the big plush fruity hop character of citra, plus the dank green hoppy intensity of Idaho 7. Plenty of overripe peachy-nectarine stone fruit character, mango, and hop resin. German pils is the base malt for this beer, bringing a subtly paler yellow hue.

Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy pale yellow color ale with a medium white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones and some mango notes. Taste is also a good mix of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones notes, some mango notes and a sweet finale. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Interesting NEIPA with good hops undertones but slightly too sweet for my taste.

Fairly standard appearance and nose for an IPA like this, gold haze with a pungent aroma. As far as the taste, it's not bad but I don't think the Idaho 7 and Citra meld as well as they could, the pungent notes of the Idaho 7 clash with the fruitiness of the Citra. It's still pretty good, just not as great as many of tho other IPAs Grimm produces.

04/04/2022 date tall can.
Nice looking hazed up NEIPA pour, on the lighter side, both in the haze level and the straw hue. Lasting and firm cap. Leaves some low ringed fine bubble sheeting and well scattered strands and bits of lacing
Pungent melon and ripe pineapple on the sniff.
Super tasty...with more melon, ripe pineapple, mango and general tropical fruit goodness. Complex, subtle, sophisticated and utterly enjoyable. Fine example of the style.

Can. Pours a nice illuminated color but is plenty hazy. Really solid tuft of white fuzz, too. Great look. Smells of new age citrusy and perfumey hops. Could stand to be a bit more intense but the aromas are pretty decent. Flavor is greener than the nose but it's pretty solid overall. I get some kiwi or maybe lychee form several Grimm hoppy beers. It's here as well but the intensity is lacking like the nose. Has a nice, bright clementine flavor on the back end. That and a bit of dried granola malt. Very drinkable; how is this 8%!? Pretty decent but not their best.

Canned 11/16/20, tasted 12/12/20. Very juicy with lots of orange and grapefruit citrus. The look is a little bit of a murky orange, not the most appealing. But the aroma is enticing and lasts for a long time. The mouthfeel is medium/light, not the most interesting but very drinkable. Overall, an excellent fresh-tasting imperial IPA with a nice balance of juicy sweetness and a tart and bitter finish.
