We’ve hit the ceiling of maximum hop intensity and oil saturation with this liquid tutti frutti jelly belly IPA. Double dry-hopped with two of our favorite hops. Mosaic and Cashmere hops unify to create a blast of tropical fruit –pineapple, papaya, coconut, strawberry, and citrus.

Could be called maximum meloness.
A) Pours a clouded yellow body with a big lasting, lacing head. Good looker
S) Lime and watermelon, floral notes, cucumber, more melons.
T) Follows aroma a most melon brew, big, soft fleshed fruit.
F) Juicy, chalky mouth feel, in keeping with melon profile, some pith.
O) Too strangely melon for me to choose as a regular.

Pours a hazy golden erring on the side of orange. Getting unripe mango with a little hibiscus aroma. I was surprised to find that it was more citrus forward - it's super soft - like a clementine-like citrus. It's like biting into a little halo clemetine. A bit of textured resin on the finish too.

Canned 07/13/21, it pours opaque dark orange color with a 2 finger thick foamy eggshell colored head that faded slowly and left really good lacing coating the glass. Smells of juicy tangerine, oranges, grapefruit, lemon zest, clementines, floral notes, biscuit and some mild peppery spices. After it warms up the aroma had more malty aspects along with some apricot. Tastes just like it smells but with sour orange juice, fruity candy like Razzles and tart grapefruit juice. It’s pretty bitter, but in a good way.

16oz can purchased from the fridge as a single from a local bar/bottle shop for $8. Canned on 7/13/21, so this is only 13 days old.
Look: Pours a medium hazy light copper color with a thin beige-colored head. Nice lacing.
Smell: Expressive nose. Lots of tropical and stone fruit - papaya, guava, melon, and peach along with lots of green bell pepper and dank notes. Coconut comes through on the nose as the beer warms.
Taste: Very solid. This is a west coast style IPA brewed with new school hops, and it is executed flawlessly. Up front, it's a bit piney, resionous, and earthy as well as echoing the tropical and stone fruit notes from the nose. The finish is piney and moderately bitter with a touch of tangy acidity. The bitterness lingers on gradually and does not destroy your pallate, although it does build as the pint is consumed. It's very drinkable and while the aroma is very fruity, it's not very sweet. I wonder what kinds of malt are used here; based on the color and flavor, I think that there may be some caramel malt used. 7% ABV is very well hidden.
Feel: Very nice mouthfeel. It has a slick, oily mouthfeel yet it's also on the soft and fluffy side. Perfectly carbonated.
Overall: This is my first Grimm beer and it's nice to see that this brewery lives up to its hype. It's delicious and very well-made. I've had mosaic hops many times before, but this may be the first time that I am having a beer that showcases cashmere hops. Everything works very well together here. If you would enjoy a modern adaptation on the old school west coast IPA style with new school hops and a bit of haze, then you would enjoy this beer.

Pours a hazy gold. Sweet aroma. Big tropical fruit body. Sweet and a little buttery. Mild bitter finish. Super juicy. Really great.

CAN
Loose white foam over slightly hazy pale bronze; huge passionfruit nose with hints of mango; more passionfruit + mango; cantaloupe, and bit of dank, apricot, coconut and canned orange segments; soft + smooth.

Mosaic, Cashmere
Jan 25th canning date, so 9 weeks old, give or take.
Smells more like passionfruit than almost any other beer I’ve had. Taste is not as bright - is it fading already? - yet focused fruitiness with a couple of layers to it.
There’s a candied element that could be Cashmere, but that’s meant to be a more subtle hop so all this tropical is probably from the chameleon that is Mosaic.
NEIPA elements are restrained: esters, haze, and smoothness are all less than I’d expect. That’s not to say the quality of execution is in doubt at all.
Far from their best, but better than three quarters of the NEIPAs out there, which tells you everything about Grimm.
