Pours a slightly opaque grayish yellow, brief fizzing head, no retention or lacing. Nose is starts off like a mentholated Chardonnay minus the oak; as it warms up just a bit, the ginger becomes more pronounced, while the sweetness registers more in the tropical realm. Taste follows with a nice, refreshing ginger note (certainly a "real" ginger flavor, but not as aggressive as "real" ginger ale), some light fruit syrup, and a good punch of salinity on the finish. Mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing, with only mild carbonation. Could see myself putting a few of these back if they were cans.

A gose brewed with ginger and lychee.
Look: Pours a very pale, slightly hazy, straw yellow color with a one finger white head. No head retention or lacing, which I consider appropriate for the style. Yeast is visable at the tail end of the pour.
Aroma: Spicy pickled ginger, light straw / hay note. Tart lemon rind and sweet lemon candy.
Taste: Lovely. Mostly spicy with fresh ground ginger and slightly briny notes of pickled sushi style ginger . Salt level is low - average. Mildly bittersweet lemon. Lychees come through on the back, with a tangy, savory fruity kick. Very enjoyable.
Feel: Light and crisp. Carbonation is low.
Overall: I like my gose to be a little more salty - but the ginger works so incredibly well here. This is a must try if you like ginger.
