Our cinnamon babka-style imperial milk stout is rich with cocoa, vanilla, and warming cinnamon, and finished with just the right amount of salt. This collaboration celebrates the first anniversary of Mekelburg’s Domino and their amazing cinnamon (and chocolate) babkas. Full bodied and velvety smooth, at 12% abv this stout keeps its alcohol well-hidden. Cinnamon takes a backseat to no babka!

An interesting spin on the babka series. Worthy of a pour/can/case/whatever, but I prefer the cleaner profile of Sumi Babka.
The brulee experience in the taproom is a nice touch, straight roasted marshmallow.

Smooth flavors with cinnamon roll flavors, and a milky creme finish. Very easy drinking for 12%. Somewhat syrupy thick, this is a nice sipping beer.

Pours very dark, decent head aroma is chocolate with faint cinnamon. Flavor is chocolate cake, some sweet vanilla, I sense lactose, faint cinnamon. Fairly full bodied, syrupy, very light carbonation. Overall it is pretty good.

another lights out stout from grimm. i thought this might be too desserty or sweet, but really its not, quite drinkable actually, even the alcohol is pretty well hidden, and i appreciate the subtlety with the cinnamon and any vanilla and lactose in here. its shiny black in the glass from the tap, not much head retention, but i dont miss it, super viscous and shiny. this is slick immediately, with a rich roasty complexion, hints of coffee and dark chocolate, a real mocha vibe in the nose, with real soft and wintery cinnamon and vanilla, not overdosed at all, and really appealing and warming. the alcohol is impressively well hidden in the taste, i know its strong from all the body but not from any heat really. the cinnamon is there the whole time, a bit sweet through most of this, never spicy in the throat or anything, and really nice against all the dark malt character this is built with. cocoa for sure, natural vanilla, and plenty of roast. if there is salt in this, which they claim, i dont really taste it, maybe more of a texture thing, body and drying tendencies, its not a huge influence on the beer to me overall though. this is cozy like a warm crackling fire, and seems perfect for a grey winter afternoon, immediately put me in a good mood and mindset too. i love most all of the grimm stouts, and this one is up there on the list for me. stoked this came to idaho, hoping to see more draft from these guys show up here. this was a delight, highly recommended. not too much cinnamon, but great depth and smoothness. yum!
