Notes:
Nelson Sauvin and Citra create a bouquet of white grape, gooseberry, and the specific fresh spritz of citrus oil that’s visible in the air when peeling an orange. Flaked oats contribute a soft, smooth mouthfeel. Big, juicy flavors of mango nectar, tangerine, and melted rainbow sherbert are accompanied by a gently dry finish.

The can pour is pale yellow with a 1 cm white foam cap and a faint aroma of tangerines.
The flavor is orange-forward with grape and melon notes. The flavor is full and the hop bitterness is moderate.
The flavors persist in the finish.
This is a light-bodied brew with a faint aroma, but the flavors are quite present and good.

3/17/2021 can from the brewery in Brooklyn. Pours a hazy light yellow gold, a finger of white head that dissipates, nice lacing, smell is musty gooseberry, white grape, orange concentrate, hints of coconut, honey, and vanilla cake, taste is papaya, dank white crape candy, and guava, hints of passionfruit frosting, coconut and vanilla cake, feel is medium bodied and creamy. Candied tropical nectar cake.

Grabbed a 4 ok at Ma and Pa’s (Alton, NY)
Well made NE style DIPA. A bit light going down but still seems more DIPA than IPA.
There was some creaminess to body; but way too restrained. Use of oats didn’t really show off at all.
A bit disappointed in taste and nose. Nothing really remarkable. Nelson did not stand out; no noticeable citrus oil. Maybe too cold coming out of frig.
Overall a well made refreshing DIPA. Pleasant but not interesting. Not what I’d hope from Grimm.
Will update as I finish 4 pk.
