Copenhagen /1 2022. 37,5 cl bottle from Mikkeller & Friends Bottle Shop, Torvehallerne, Kbh. K. White label with a grape cluster surrounded by flower vines and a lot of partly unreadable handwriting.
Pours unclear, golden yellow with a mid-sized, bubbly white head. Settles as thin, flimsy patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer.
Aroma is intense with sweet fruity odor mingling with a strong, sharp sourness. Peach and elderberry. Sour Italian white wine, tart goose berries and a hint of vinegar.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, bit greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a light sweetness soon overpowered by a strong, tart sourness. Aftertaste is vinous and sour. Lingering. Finish is bone-dry.
Fine and aggressively sour Lambic. Will my saliva ever return?

The Open Works Chardonnay is a spontaneous fermentation brew. The bottle pour is golden with a fine haze and a fluffy foam cap.
The aroma is vinous and tart with sir grape aspects.
The flavor follows the nose and includes cider-like notes.
The finish is dry and the flavors and tartness persist.
This series is worth seeking out if this is a preferred style for you.
