Notes of dried fruits, banana, clove, and chocolate, with a wheaty-tart refreshing finish.

A: pours a huge tan head, deep brown color.
S: mostly DME malt, overripe banana. I don’t get a ton of the clove or ester notes I would expect. A bit muted.
T: brown bread, walnuts, hard tap water.
M: other reviewers commented on the light body, but I’m sorry this is just watery. This needs more body for the style.
O: this feels like a first-time home brewers attempt at the style, not the output of a commercial brewer. It’s fine, but I have higher expectations for Grimm.

A: The beer is hazy brown in color. It poured with a two finger high light tan head that died down and consistently left a quarter finger high head covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of banana, and dark malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of clove.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and the taste has a nice balance between the malty and yeasty flavors.
Serving type: can

Canned 2021/11/10
Pours a large foamy 3 finger rich tan head with moderate retention, sticky lacing, dark molasses brown color
Nose sweet toasted brown malts, biscuity toffee, a bit of caramel, nice rich toffee, bread crust with butter cracker, hint of chocolate, a bit of roast, mild spicy hop notes, a bit nutty, creamy doughy toasted wheat, touch of baking spice, and some dark fruits
Taste brings more of the toasted malts, grainy cereal, toasted sweet bread crust with some caramel, fair amount of toffee, a bit nutty, a bit more biscuity buttery cracker like and pumpernickel bread, a bit of dark fruits, fig raisin like, brown sugar molasses notes, creamy chocolate icing doughy wheat, a hint of caramelized banana, med spicy hop character with light bitterness, drier finish, soft and creamy base,
Mouth is med to a little lighter bod, but soft creamy, higher fizzy effervescent carb
Overall actually very well done dunkelweisse, very nice

Pours a deep mahogany that relatively clear, though pouring in the yeast at the bottom of the can may complicate that. Head is about 0.5," creamy and light brown; good retention and moderate lacing. Nose is banana and clove, cinnamon, brown sugar. Taste is mild and slightly sweet - red apple, light cola, and banana and on the finish a lingering lemon peel flavor that seems a little out of place. Mouthfeel is smooth and light, inviting big pulls. Overall, I really enjoyed this, but would have liked a bit more malt complexity on the taste front.
