Really love the idea idea behind this beer - we definitely need more low ABV, non-adjunct, non-BA stouts. Aggressive pour yields very brief head that quickly peters out; no lacing; color is near black, but a dark cola brown around the edges when held to the light. Nose is roasted malt, roasted peanuts, pennies, grass. Taste follows - lots of clean, lightly bitter roastiness with roasted peanuts; finish is mildly bitter and tannic. Mouthfeel is certainly on the thin side as expected, but that helps make this a rather refreshing and drinkable summer stout. Hope this makes more appearances year round.

Cola black brownish appearance.
Med light carbonation with about a medium body with a slightly thick, slick feel.
Aroma is molasses, dark fruit, malt, bitter espresso coffee, dark chocolate.
Taste is a weakened version of the aroma. Flavorful but gets a thin feeling as carbonation dissipates.
Overall an interesting flavorful beer.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a short off white head that left a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of chocolate and dark malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional hints of roasted malts and a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout is very flavorful but is quite easy to drink given its lighter body.
Serving type: can
