On tap at The Sheffield in Brighton, NY.
This one pours a mostly clear rusted orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like resinous pine, grapefruit, tangerine, and very light malt character.
This is a pretty emblematic take on a West Coast IPA, with a biting but clean bitterness, very little malt character, a nice piquant grapefruit character, and some melon and tangerine.
This is light bodied, very crisp on the back end, with a really good drinkability.
This isn’t exactly Grimm’s wheelhouse when it comes to IPAs, but they still managed to basically crush it.

The stamp caught the edge of the can bottom so ?/o8/22 doesn't tell me much, but 8.2% in the store fridge does.
Pretty pour that lives up to the "west coast style" claim on the weird devil on my head label art.
Orange hued, medium amber color, firm, tiny bubbled white head that had nice retention and lace cling. Nearly clear, chill hazed but not murky with questionable adjuncts.
The aroma is not, for me at least, reminiscent of a left coast IPA and more a NE fruity pe-tuti hop nose of aggressive pineapple and melon. Malt is present but no traditional C hop character - no pine and spruce - no sugar coated nectarines but an aromatic nose none the less full of fruit with underlying malt.
The flavor is rich and full - strong fruit notes carry through but supported by a solid malt backbone.
Tasty biscuit and caramel malt grain nuttiness mingles well with the softened pineapple and fruity hop flavors.
Full or nearly full bodied, the malt sweetness, the raw grain character and assertive hop aroma is balanced and not over powered by hop acids make this a highly drinkable American IPA even if I might not be a fan of the choice of finishing hop aroma.
Warm, lingering grassy hop in alcohol aftertaste.
