Pours a hazy shade of light yellow with a generous two finger head of satin white foam. Laces the glass well.
Dry on the nose. Aroma is mostly gentle bitter pine sap with notes of spicy grapefruit pith and soft apricot pomace. There is a waxy tangerine oil note to it as well.
Taste is predominantly dry and clean; showcasing waxy, bitter flavors of citrus rind blanketed by notes of ripe apricots and very subtle strawberry. Some fresh notes of spruce and raw honey as well.
Mouthfeel is dry and well attenuated. Sugar level is restrained but not to the degree of being excessively bitter. Body is Mid-light in weight with slightly above average carbonation.
Overall it's a pretty slow burn on this at first it really needs time in the glass to come into it's own after it's poured. The first can I had I wasn't that impressed with but as I drank the others over the course of the week it sort of grew on me as I let it aerate and breathe in the glass. I highly recommend letting this open up for at least 5 minutes or so once it's poured to give it some time to relax. Out of the can this is a little too bitter and cramped, but there is good flavor to be unpacked here if you have the patience to sit with this brew.

A: The beer is very hazy and a bit pale yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that left a thin collar around the edge and some lacing on the surface and the slides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of mango and grapefruit citrus are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of mango, melon and strawberries and has a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer doesn't seem as heavy compared to other Double IPAs and is easy to drink.
