poured from a 500mL bottle into a levante snifter. pours dark brown to almost shiny black with nothing more than a third of the top of the liquid covered in quick-to-fade copper bubbles. chocolate, cinnamon, light spirit barrel all in the nose. maybe even hints of vanilla. taste follows and as it wants the chocolate and cinnamon give way to more oak and rum, although it never gets boozy. the peepers are light and melt in check but mingle with the spirit barrel quite nicely. the mouthfeel leaves a little to be desired. it’s not that it’s thin but more that it suffers from a lack of carbonation. overall, though this is pretty good and i dig the name / band reference for sure. 500 ml bottle into a snifter. 2022 release, had 2/18/23.

Pours an opaque dark brown, with no head and no lacing. Aromas of rum, malt, cinnamon, chocolate, light chilies. Similar flavors: cinnamon, rum, malt, chocolate, light chilies- more as it warms, light heat. Smooth, a lighter full body that’s slightly thin, appropriately carbonated.

An interesting combination that really works. The only negative is that it could be a little heftier feeling. Overall, very enjoyable.

Purchased directly from the brewery as part of a 500 ml bottle 4 pack.

This looks, tastes and smells like Kraken rum (which I love)! There’s absolutely no head, whatsoever! Jet black color with a strong, but not overpowering, rum nose. Smooth mouthfeel with a subtle cocoa and cinnamon flavor. The Ancho Chiles provide a perfect ending! Rich, indulgent, luxurious! It’s 12% abv is well hidden!
