500 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 2/10/23.
Pours near black and opaque, with a short, quickly dissipating bubbly head and faint specks of cling. Aromas of vanilla, malt, orange, oak, light bourbon, some chocolate. Flavors of vanilla, bourbon, malt, some oak, light chocolate, light orange on the finish. Smooth, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.
The vanilla bursts out, as do the barrels when it’s warmed. The orange is subtle, but effective. Delicate and understated, but quite good.

Near black color. No lasting head and no lace.
The smell is like brandy with a minor chocolate note. Closest to a milk stout to the nose
The taste is very boozy, much closer to the aforementioned brandy. There are darker malts but they are mild. The body is predictably oily. The low carbonation enhances the effect. Long warming aftertaste.
