Copenhagen 8/6 2024. 47,3 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. Orange - almost brown - can with a simple, almost child-like drawing of two faces in profile blending together and a sun-like symbol.

Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized offwhite head. Stable. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with sweet spice and a touch of alcohol. Dark roasted malts, vanilla, dark chocolate and liqueur.

Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, slightly viscous, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingering. Finish is dry.

If love is everywhere it is certainly of the bitter variety.

Light shimmers through the edge of the glass. Dark brown color. Decent starting beige head, but it dissipates quickly, leaving only a few minor streaks and spots on the glass.

I think I'm picking up actual oatmeal to the nose. The strongest smell is some semisweet chocolate with a bit of chalk. Oddly, I'm smelling a bit of green olive.

Powdered, sweetened cocoa is the dominant flavor. The body is rich but not syrupy enhanced by the lower carbonation level. The finish darkens the cocoa, lowering the sweetness a touch. The cocoa remains but it now has some light burnt malt flavors heightened at the swallow. The aftertaste does not linger like I would think but the rapid fade is pleasant.

Looks like a porter, sufficiently black and tan head.
Aroma is lost on my nose due to Covid.
The taste features vanilla, more so than the base porter. Not bad, but it seems a little over vanilla forward.
The feel was a bit thin, rather matched the flavor.
