16oz can purchased from the fridge as a single for $4.99. Canned on 04/05/2023, so this beer is exactly 12 months old.

Look: Pale gold color with a decent amount of haziness. Upon pouring, there was about one and half fingers of rocky, whitish head. The head has mostly dissipated, leaving behind nice lacing and a thin layer.

Smell: This beer smells really inviting. I get a lot of citrus and fruity, tropical notes (peach, mango, gooseberry, white grape) balanced by strong floral / almost soapy notes. There's some grassy green notes in there also, including garlicy notes and green bell pepper; it smells spicy on the finish.

Taste: Nice, this is basically what I was expecting of a Cold IPA from Grimm. These guys know what they're doing, and it's not like I've had so many other Cold IPAs but I have come to know what to expect. Up front, it's fairly light on the palate and there is not so much malt flavor; this beer is all about the hops. There's nice fruitiness and floral aromatics up front. Lots of orange rind, some honeydew melon. Then the beer's bitterness comes out. It has a significantly bitter finish, with lots of pithy, rindy grapefruit notes. It's very dry and has lots of resinous hop character.

Feel: Light to medium bodied. There is a bit of a mouth-coating residue left behind, almost a soapiness, that is very interesting.

Overall: My third Cold IPA. Industrial Arts Brewing Company's Week 312 - Cold IPA was the first and Victory - Cold Front was the second. I dig a Cold IPA, when I can find one. They're not so easy to come by.

From the website:
COLD IPA WITH RIWAKA, SIMCOE, MOTUEKA, AND CITRA
After our increasingly successful experiments with the cold IPA style, with HOT 100 we’ve cracked the code. This translucent, delicate stunner is exploding with tantalizing hoppy aromas of lime, kiwi, honeydew, and gooseberry. Ultra light and attenuated down to a wafer-thin 1.5 degrees Plato, the drinkability here is through the roof! Notes of lemonheads candy and strawberry dance across the spritzy palate. Riwaka, Simcoe, Motueka, and Citra.

Heard about "Cold IPA" lately and have been told it'll be the next big thing. We'll see... but I will say, this is really good. Yellow hazy ipa look, opaque, with fluffy white head and really nice lacing. Some grass in the nose to go with starfruit, pineapple, grapefruit rind, a little dank. Taste is clean, and some crackers at the beginning followed by tropical fruits and bitter citrus rind finish. Finishes dry and light, effervescent on the body, super light. By the clean finish and drinkability, this one feels like if I had picked up more than one single can, they'd all be gone tonight. This is good.
