From the Grimm Instagram post: “ BEER OF THE SUMMER: Pure Tone! We made "Crispy IPA," is this ok? WTF is crispy IPA? This style flows from our conviction that Cold IPA needs to DELIVER ON its promise of west coast IPA cross-pollinated with American lite lager. Having learned a thing or two brewing Grimm Lite, we are ready to take the Cold IPA concept one step further and closer to true lawnmower beer status. The first thing you notice is intense blossoming pure dank and fruity aromas of Mosaic and Luminosa hops that greet you as you crack the can of Pure Tone. The second thing you notice is the brilliant pale clarity and lasting froth as you pour it into the glass (drinking from the can is also encouraged). The third thing you notice is the ultra lean, ultra clean palate that finishes with a crispy SNAP! We are getting ready to drink so many.… You could also think of Crispy IPA as "session Cold IPA" or "hoppy American lite lager" or "crispier west coast pils." Enjoy!” Certainly “lite” but also a great summer thirst quencher.
