Poured at fridge temp. Pours a nice dark brown with a little bit of head. The nose is fantastic. Classic BA English barleywine. Huge notes of rich toffee, vanilla, bourbon, brown sugar, raisins, figs, and some graham cracker.
The taste is a perfect match for the nose. Wow. This is incredible. Loads of bourbon, but not boozy or sharp. The ABV is really well hidden. I'm getting nice burnt toffee, vanilla cream, brown sugar, molasses, pudding, raisins, figs, and a slight hoppy note.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied and the aftertaste is caramel pudding. Overall, this is phenomenal.
