a tasty flavored blonde ale here thats equal parts orange and vanilla, light in the malt base and intensely flavored on the added ingredients, and it does in fact smell and taste a lot like an orange creamsicle as they name claims it should. ton of vanilla on the nose right away, its sweet and creamy and desserty and for some maybe over the top, but i like its prominence here. the orange is floral and zesty and a little sweet too, but it also has some bitterness that does its best to balance the vanilla. the flavor is more evenly balanced than the aroma, but the vanilla is still in the lead. the orange is so fresh though, which really saves it. its not an extract or a concentrate from what i can tell, and is very juicy and just a great layer to this. its oddly refreshing for how sweet it is most of the way through, i think just reminding me of the popsicle on a hot day and taking me back to my youth. these flavored light beers often turn me off, especially when they have this much flavor, but i think this is awesome. its really unique and really well done for how bold it is. fun brew for the summer. these guys continue to make better beer than they ever seem to get the attention for. really dug this one!
