A - A finger's worth of crisp perfectly level slightly creamy snow white colored froth... Average at best retention gives way to a full ultra thin veil of lacing and a slight to moderate collar... The color is a vibrant lemony light to medium gold and their is a faint haziness throughout... A wee bit of ultra sluggish carbonation rises within... A good bit of delicate white lacing clings to the sides of the glass...
S - A very subtle aroma... Candied sugars... Light lemon zest... Some fresh cut grass... A faint spice component... Very pleasant and spot on for the style, but perhaps a tad to subdued...
T - Big flavor, especially in contrast to the nose... Strong lemon zest... Candied sugar... Lots of earthy and grassy character... Sage and a hint of white pepper... A faint bubblegum component... There is an unexpected euro hop bite on the finish... A rather aggressive for a Saison and I like it...
M - Light bodied... Sleek and a little sticky... Coats the mouth fully and evenly... Limited carbonation that proves to be rather sharp... Starts nice and juicy before starting to turn a bit dry on the finish... Again, fairly assertive for a Saison...
D - A very interesting interpretation of the Saison style... The appearance is rather nice... The aroma is a bit subdued, but spot on... Both the flavor and the mouthfeel are very good and rather attention grabbing for the style... The end result is a rather enjoyable Saison that I would gladly indulge in again when presented the opportunity... A bit more than a sum of its parts... Opens up considerably after warming a bit...
