bright dark straw color. Nose is sweet, slight caramel / malty sweetness - clean. Well carbonated - no head , but my pour effected that. Taste is slightly sweet with a relatively dry finish , nicely balanced and no off flavors. I get hints of bread

Treated as a substyle of the Oktoberfest/Marzen category, I will attempt to rate/review this as a festbier as I believe both brewers set out to do just that. Alright, here we go.
Obviously for proper scientific reasons, this was poured into a mug, a glass one which is closest respected glassware for the style.
The appearance was a semi-glossy yet mellow somewhat transparent golden yellow color. A one and a half fingers worth of white foamy head slid off appropriately, some gentle lace, somewhat stringy but not so much.
The aroma pulled together a wonderful blend of semi-sweet toasty malts with sweet earthiness. Mellow caramel follows in underneath.
The flavor leaned towards a beautiful clean sweetness, running through all of the prior mentioned aromas and wrapping together in a fine tuned bouquet in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a spectacular sessionability about it. Carbonation felt great for the style, nothing cloying. And finished with some grassy to earthy tones.
Overall, not only did I really like this one for me but honestly as a true Festbier it's quite good despite the high ABV the brewery assigned to this. I'd definitely have again.

This one pours a clear light amber color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like sweet caramel and bready malt, fruity yeast, and a touch of hops.
This is just a hair too sweet for the style, as it doesn't have that crispness or any bite that I'd want. The malt character is quite good though, bready, caramelly, creamy, with a pleasantly sweet graininess.
This is light bodied, slightly creamy, and very drinkable. It's not quite crisp enough on the finish.

Bright pale copper clear with basically no head. Leafy minerally aroma. Medium sweet overall but a lot of it in the finish, maybe for lack of hops? Light body. Slick. Meh.
