Versteck is a collaborative foeder-conditioned Schwarzbier crafted together with Good Word Brewing from Duluth, Georgia. Complex but easy-drinking, its nose is defined by notes of lightly roasted coffee beans, cocoa powder, and a herbal hop character. Rye bread and subtle dark fruit bolstered by toasted oak from the foeder round out the palate.

Had on tap. Pitch black pour with two fingers of tan foam. Earthy coffee, big cocoa, roasted malt and dark yeast in nose. Taste has a undercurrent of light caramel to the strong malts, cocoa and roast star, yeast again is dark and pleasant. Velvet smooth and light, not dynamic in the feel but well balanced
