A strong German-inspired pale lager perfectly suited for the approaching cool nights. Bold notes of oak and bready malt are complimented by subtle wildflower honey, spice forward hops, and faint sweet fruit.

Pours clear, deep brassy gold in color. Gorgeous, tight white fluffy head that falls to a rocky cap and ring. The ring paints the glass as the liquid recedes.

Malty sweet is the first noticeable smell, then floral honey, a very slight hop spice, and fruity- thinking it's white wine grape. Faint sulphur initially but it goes away.

This is a pleasant tasting brew. Bready malts lead the way complimented by a foral honey flavor that results in a slightly sweet taste. Ever so slightly toasty. Theres just enough bitter playing along. Then it gets fun with that fruit note showing up in the aromatic sense - I can't convince myself it isn't white wine grape so I'll stick with that. And then the hops come to play with a gentle spicy pepper and an earthy, herbal quality. Every once in a while, a bit of a sulphury taste, but mild and fleeting, doesn't seem out of place.

This has some body to it, but its not really heavy - it just has substance. Slightly dry finish, moderately carbonated. Clean with just a bit of honey and spice in the carryover.

It's very balanced with enough hop contribution to lift up the malts without overpowering. Good beer to pair with hearty food on a nippy autumn or spring evening. Worthy.
