i liked this substantially more than others in our group, so i am curious to see what people think as this one starts to get out there a little more. i found it to be a relatively standard new wave berliner, you know, the kettle soured quick lacto foot thing, with a nice donse of lemon acidity and lots of dense haze to it. that seems to be the new american standard, and its not at all bad in this beer. a lot cleaner than others on the yeasty weirdness, still has sourness, but isnt all stinky and gross funky like the other hot ones. medium body makes it feel substantial too. it could stand to be a little more carbonated, i like effervescence in my acidic beer, and this, while not flat, lacks that expressive life i am after. potentially crushable for miles though, but i only had one. these guys must be doing something right, cans coming into the market, more handles than ive ever seen before around town, and quite a but of positive hype. still havent been out to the spot, but looking forward to the new canned releases. i bet they can this one next summer when its dialed in.
