Pale, straw yellow body; lots of lively carbonation, very thin and fizzy head. Mild roasted coffee aroma; some vanilla. The taste comes across like a mix of vanilla cream soda and weak coffee; watery. Medium body; fizzy and watery; odd sense of wetness with a dry edge.
This is the type of beer I really want to enjoy (and I believe I've had another coffee cream ale or two), but this one just falls flat. The high point is the aroma, warm and inviting, and one can forgive a wispy, splotchy head, but when the taste only delivers a weak cream soda and thin coffee presence, well, I'm just glad I only bought one can instead of a four-pack.
